Select "Name" from the drop-down menu. The search result will now include only occurrences of the searched name found in the Name field of the database.
It is not necessary to type an entire name: e.g., "clar coo" is enough to locate the name "Clarence Coon."Searching Parents:
Select "Parents" from the drop-down menu. (This can be fun.) Searching "clar grub" in this mode will list all the children of Clarence Coon and Mary Ann Grubb (and, usually in order of their birth).Searching Spouse:
Select "Spouse" from the drop-down menu. If you do not know the name of Clarence Coon's wife, search HIS name in this mode.
CNumber - This numbering scheme helps the database to place Coon Family members within the correct family branch (relates them to the right parents), and in their right order. For more thorough explanation, see Details. Some CNumbers have a letter suffix, defined as follows:DOB - Date of birth.
- -S - Spouse of Coon Descendant.
- -D - Domestic Partner of Coon Descendant.
- -X - Ex-Spouse.
- -F - Friend of a family member (significance in database immaterial).
Spouse - or domestic partner.
Anniv - Anniversary of current marriage (as best we know).
Dec - Date deceased.
GEN - Family member's GENERATION group since generation 1 (Clarence and Mary Ann Coon).
